Since the beginning of the year, major freight traffic aggregators have noticed ambiguous statistics. Some observe an increase in orders for road transportation, but a decrease in registered carriers, while others refer to an increase in the number of vehicles in the database and applications transported. The MONOPOLY Group of Companies commercial director Evgeny Ivlev left a comment at the Logirus.ru portal about this situation.

According to his opinion, positive dynamics of development was recorded at the monopoly.online platform. «The number of orders has risen on average by 15-20%. At the same time, in February 2021, the number of participants has increased more than double year-on-year: from 2,500 to 4,500. At the same time, the fleet of registered trucks has also grown on the platform: from 29,321 in February 2020 to 40,738 in February 2021», — told Evgeny.
But some aggregators record a drop in the number of carriers. Evgeny explained that «due to the closure of the international borders, the demand of the population raises within the country. Whereas not all freight carriers have time to update their fleet and adapt to new legal requirements. As a result, orders for cargo are distributed and executed unevenly».
However, the year is not over yet, so we continue to monitor statistics and market developments.
