Alexey Nekrasov joined the project in difficult times of pandemia — in spring 2020. After taking his first truck Mercedes-Benz Actros 2017 and semi-trailer, a year and a half later he came for another truck: this time he chose a MAN TGX 18.400 4×2 BLS. «I’ve never driven one, I wanted to compare», — Alexey shared his opinion with us during the handover of the vehicle.
We talked to the entrepreneur and learned about his professional path, impressions of the first year of participation in the project and plans for scaling.
About joining the project
I managed to work for the Monopoly Group for 2 years and 6 years before that — for other companies. All the men in our family are long-haul truckers, I started my career following their example. I had no entrepreneurial experience, but I always had a desire to try: any driver wants to have his own vehicle. Therefore, when a familiar logistics specialist invited me to a project, I decided to test myself.
The first steps in entrepreneurship
It was hard at first, not everything worked out. After all, you have to think differently here, not as an ordinary driver for hire. Now the situation is much better. Since I have a substitute driver, I am at home more often and I rest more often.
About MONOPOLY.Business
It’s hard to make much money and purchase a vehicle. Within the project, you can gain experience as an entrepreneur and get your own vehicle. I have heard many comments that it turns into junk in five years. This is nonsense! Service life depends on a driver. You can work for twenty years on a single truck.
If you try hard, you can earn more in the project than during your ordinary employment. The main thing is desire!
About plans for business development
I already have a substitute driver, I am planning to hire another one. I will coordinate them as a logistics specialist and work as a substitute. I prefer to plan haul cycle on my own: I can choose my favorite destination, customer, build a route.
I am not going to quit the project, and I am thinking about getting a third truck: I have to move on. I have many plans!
